Keys Talks with Suzanne

A Key West realtor, a nine-candidate election, and a five-day deadline.

Suzanne came to us with a problem most people wouldn't take on: she'd just filmed sit-down interviews with all nine candidates running for Mayor and City Commission in Key West, and early voting was days away. She needed all nine videos, plus short clips for social, live and looking professional, fast, with one condition that mattered more than anything else: nobody could look favored.

We started with the brand. Instead of guessing at a direction, we built out a logo and two full thumbnail styles side by side and let her choose, so the final look was hers, not ours. Once she picked, that became the fixed template for every single candidate — same layout, same colors, same treatment, no exceptions.

From there it was a sprint: nine long-form interviews edited and uploaded, eighteen short clips cut for Instagram and YouTube Shorts, custom thumbnails, SEO'd descriptions, and a shared intro that ran identically across every video. Every asset went through the same process for every candidate, in the same order, on the same day where possible — because the moment one candidate's video looked more polished than another's, the whole project would've failed at the one thing that actually mattered.

The result: a full nine-candidate series live on YouTube before early voting began, built to be genuinely fair, not just fast. Suzanne's biggest fear going in was looking like she'd picked a side. What she got instead was a channel where nobody could tell which candidate, if any, she was rooting for.
